Here are a few easy-to-make, delicious kid snacks that can help replace unhealthy and processed junk food.

Chocolate brownie energy bites
Most kids love desserts, especially chocolate, making this the perfect snack with the right nutritional value.

Ingredients:
1 cup raisins
1 cup cashews
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
Pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:
Place the raisins in a bowl and add hot water. Let them soak for 5 minutes and then drain.
Add raisins and all the other ingredients to a food processor and pulse until the mixture reaches a sand-like consistency.
Shape the mixture into balls.
Chill for 30 minutes and enjoy.

Spicy roasted chickpeas
Chickpeas are good sources of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and fiber, making them ideal snacks for kids.

Ingredients:
¼ cup olive oil

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400 °F .
In a bowl, mix chickpeas with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and turmeric.
Place the chickpeas on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 45–50 minutes.
Remove the chickpeas when they turn a deep golden.
Let them cool and then transfer them to a bowl.

Soft pretzel bites

Ingredients:
Cooking spray
1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
4 cups water
¼ cup baking soda
1 large egg, beaten
Coarse salt
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
2 cups cheddar
Kosher salt
Black pepper
Cayenne pepper

Instructions for the pretzels:
Pre-heat oven to 425 °F .
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and coat with cooking spray.
Quarter each biscuit and roll it into a ball. Carve an X into each ball with a knife.
Combine water and baking soda in a saucepan. Bring it to a boil and then reduce it to a simmer. Add the balls to the saucepan and cook for 30 seconds.
Remove the balls and transfer them to the baking sheet with enough space between each piece.
Apply beaten egg to each ball and sprinkle coarse salt over the bites.
Bake for 10–15 minutes or until golden brown.

Instructions for the sauce:
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Whisk in flour and cook for a minute while continuously stirring.
Stir in milk and bring it to a simmer. As the mixture begins to thicken, add cheese, and continue whisking until the sauce becomes smooth.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and cayenne, and serve with soft pretzels.

Taco cups with black beans

Ingredients:
40 Wonton wrappers
1 can of refried black beans, warmed
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¾ cup salsa
Sour cream
Guacamole
2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375 °F .
Grease two muffin tins with cooking spray, line them with wonton wrappers, and then spray with cooking oil.
Bake in an oven for 8–10 minutes.
Remove the wonton wrappers (taco cups) from the oven and add the black beans and toppings like cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and sliced onions.

Honey roasted peaches with Greek yogurt and granola
